Here’s one of our most recent and exciting kitchen projects. This modern minamilistic kitchen features high level gloss in acyrlic and man-made veneer. A durable “Freestyle” benchtop with a high gloss feature veneer servery. All frontals are touch open featuring electronic BLUM servo drive and BLUM orgaline system, with alarge focus on feature LED lighting and technology via a touch screen PC.
The brief from the first consultation with the customer was to have the kitchen as the focal point of the home – a minimalist kitchen with clean lines, modern finishes and susceptible to a young growing family. The customer was also looking for technology via a computer or similar in this project as they loved the idea of being able to access the internet for recipes, online food shopping and other daily activities. From this initial brief we gave the customer a list of websites, and magazines to look at.
From the first consultation we spoke with Harvey Norman and Vision Living about the various ways we could implement technology into the project. During the design phase we were able to design a “communications” cabinet and a wall niche with the assistance of the builder to house a touch screen computer, which had internet, TV and the ability to connect to the house-wide customer’s audio system.
During the second consultation we pieced all the idea’s and design elements the customer liked together, appliance specifications along with preferred finishes and set off to design and specify the kitchen project. From the design elements the customer liked, it was clear the European stylings grabbed their attention. Ideas such as:
- no handles on doors and drawers
- high gloss finishes
- integrated / hidden appliances
- feature shelving &
- feature lighting.
We designed the handle-less frontals, using the BLUM servo drive system along with orgaline. As the customer had fallen in love with high gloss we specified the Ultra Glaze product in a lighter colour which would show less of the finger prints of a young growing family. We also introduced feature lighting, and specified LED as it’s cooler to touch for young children.

LED lights can save you a lot of money and they save the environment.

Love the mirror like Gloss panels and doors. The black and white shots show reflection. Thats some serious gloss levels.
